The Colecast Finger Extensor Exerciser provides a dynamic force that forces the PIP joint to extend while the MCP joint remains free to move. The marking on the proximal pad reminds the patient to put on the splint with the “P” pointing towards the palm. The fingers are held together with Velcro fasteners, but remain separated from each other by a piece of soft tape material.
